This site, situated on the ECM5 downside, was a particular target for trespass. With a Network Rail depot on the other side of the fence, the client was seeing an increase in young people breaking through and vandalising carriages.
Rothbury Terrace
A week of devegetation took place before the team removed the existing 1.2m high concrete and wire fencing to replace it with 789m of 1.8m high galvanised palisade fencing. Two vehicle gates were also installed. Since the new fence has been in place to secure the depot, the client has not reported any further trespass incidents.
