QTS has joined forces with music sensations, SAINT PHNX, as a partner in the duo’s Happy Place workshop series.
The Happy Place Workshop takes inspiration from the heartfelt song “Happy Place”, which has powerful message rooted in the band’s personal experience of loss and healing, serves as the driving force behind the workshop. By providing a safe space for children to express their emotions through art and music, the workshop aims to promote mental health awareness and empower young individuals to find their own happy place.
QTS has partnered with the band to help deliver the workshop along lines of routes that the contractor will be carrying out essential maintenance works on over the next six months.
”Mental health is a huge focus for QTS and we do a lot to help our teams, so the natural next step for us was to get involved with young people in the communities we work within.
When we met the Saint PHNX guys, we loved the concept of the workshops so we’re really looking forward to helping them get on the road into some schools to create a happy place through their incredible music.
Barry McLeishRegional Director for Scotland
”It’s great for us to get QTS involved into this project that is so close to our hearts. We’ve got some fantastic partners, so to add them to the roster is fantastic. Since its launch, we have reached over 6,000 children and teachers, with 100 workshops delivered in the first year.
There are so many benefits that music can bring to young people’s mental health, their self-esteem and their creativity. Our workshops are based on our experiences of dealing with the emotions that come with loss but also in other areas of our lives, like performing and rehearsing. It’s a unique experience and we’re privileged to be able to share that, free of charge, with so many wonderful young people thanks to the support of companies like QTS.
